ABOUT ME

Denisse Damian’s journey, from growing up in Monterrey, Mexico, to becoming an ML infrastructure engineer, angel investor, Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and one of tech’s most approachable voices, has been driven by an almost unreasonable amount of curiosity.


Her career has taken her from Mexico to Silicon Valley and Seattle. After earning a Master of Engineering in Data Science and Systems at UC Berkeley as a Fung Excellence Scholar, she built her career at the intersection of machine learning and infrastructure, working at high-growth startups before becoming a Senior Solutions Engineer at Databricks.


That same curiosity became Your Best Friend in Tech,  her platform and community for ambitious people trying to build careers in an industry that can sometimes feel unnecessarily intimidating. Through her newsletter and content, Denisse breaks down how to use the latest technology, why it works the way it does, and how to build a career at the companies creating it.



Her goal is simple: help more people understand where technology is going,  and give them the tools to be part of building what comes next.
